Computer Fried, New computer but old character lost

Hi,

So I go to turn on my laptop one morning and my MB got fried. So I bought a new laptop and re-installed everything and log on to the server but my toons are all gone. How can I get them back?

All characters are stored server side. The only files pertaining to your characters stored client side are the UI files. Changing computers has no effect on the character data, just your in game layout.

could you be logging into a EQEmu account rather than a private server account or vise versa? ive done that a few times and had a moment of panic lol.

Also, make sure your logging onto the right server.
