Mage Monster Summoning

Search didnt show anything about this so I'm posting it.
Monster Summoning 1-4 should summon a temporary pet to beat on your target however you get the message "You cannot have more then one pet at a time." when you cast these.
Doubt anyone would actually use these spells but they are nice for those leveling up and if they worked would give me a button to push when I muck around on the mage.

unless MS was customized on THF (which I am not aware of, so forgive me if it indeed that way), it doesn't summon a temporary pet - the pet is permanent, hence it conflicts with your regular pet.

Monster Summoning are pets that assumes a random NPC graphic of the zone. Pets stats are based on the spell tier (1,2,3,4) and are permanent until death or told to go away. Like other pets you can only have one at a time.

Swarm pet spells would be the temporary type pet that can be summoned while also having a regular pet.

Ah ok was just curious because on live they were temp type pets I thought that lasted until the target died or they got wacked, however I have not played my eq live mage since sometime in 2005 so I may be remembering it incorrectly.

it was permanent pet on LIVE too
At least up to OoW era when I stopped playing.

The only temp pet that existed on LIVE up to that period was wizards Swords of Xuzl.

Well at the very least these are prime candidates for deletion if the server continues to support titanium clients with the limitation to the spell file
