Unknown spell

I have downloaded the custom spell .txt and extracted it to the root of my EQ directory but I am still getting unknown spell on buffs and items. Any help? FWIW I am using Titanium and not using eqemu to run the game.

All your spells are known has "unknown" or just a specific one ? If yes, which one is it (you probably know if it's one that you cast).

Latest spell files AND thf installer ?

Not all spells it seems to be just custom ones to the server. I can see ones like greater healing, most of my mage nukes, and the ones Sune casts on me. I have seen items that have unknown effect and some buffs I get have a generic icon and unknown spell. I cant tell you which ones they are because my client does not know what to call them.

I will try and reinstall the patcher tonight to see if that corrects/helps the issue but other than that I am at a loss here.

Make sure that you are actually copying the spells_us.txt into your EQ directory. Sometimes when you extract files they will go into their own folder inside the directory.

I am dropping it in the root EQ directory and it is prompting me to overwrite so I assume its extracting it correct. I will double check and make sure but for clarity it is supposed to be in the root EQ folder right?

Make sure you are completely out of EQ when you do.
