Is this only in NK or other zones as well?

It looks like only NK. I can zone my guys into SK and their lag goes away.

Most zone lag when more people are in zone, but I've seen it bad when there are just 30. I've had best success in the wee hours of the morning here say 4am to 6am. Here is Mountain Time US.

It is a problem, I've simply dropped out of the events, its not worth the feeling of fighting in a bowl of jello and watching things take place a minute or two after they have taken place.

Well in regards of Zones only really experience the lag problem in NK and not Terrorclaw related since just experienced the same problem again since the last time i tried to do NK without Terrorclaw being up.
However i also noticed at this moment another odd behavior of mobs would assume its related to Rogues still being alive after a wipe.
First time i experienced it on a Xegony fight that when rogs are on the agro list of mobs and you more or less wipe but the rogs are still alive and evade + out of combat the mobs remain in spot without moving back and regaining health .... this happend in NK again.
My chars wiped due to desync/lag however my rogs remained in zone where and where able to zone and reengage a mob that was at 75% health (after letting it sit for 30 sec to 1 min) while the rest of the mobs that i pulled where standing around and doing nothing.

We made a bunch of optimizations to the scripts that are running constantly in NK. Please let us know if the lag is any better.

Much better this morning (Nov 3rd). Actually playable. The Prize Wheel sorta strained things, my characters ran all over and got themselves killed, but after that it settled down.

Thanks for giving this your attention.

Ya was much better zoning in and staying in there, though like stated after that prize wheel the zone crashed wasn't sure if that was you with a final touch or not but they all loaded in after that np and and had very close to normal ms in there eon all toons.. Thanks for the fix.

It's still a struggle to get in. Of course it works best if it's daytime and the zone is not heavily populated. There are probably a number of contributing factors, but it must be related to the mob list as it doesn't occur in zones like Bazaar where the player count is always high. Happy to be involved with some debugging on test, I can get about 30 clients logged in - add a couple of other people and place 300 NPC's in plane of war or somewhere like that....

An observation that might help with scripts: when things start to lag out, seems one of the first symptoms is the mobs look alive at 0%...somehow takes more memory or something to have them flop and their loot calculated. When really bad, they can hang around apparently not dead but actually dead for over a minute.

One idea that occurred to me, have no idea how hard it would be to implement, would be to make NK an instance...could be guild or maybe time based, say new instance pops every hour. Just a thought.

There are a tremendous number of mobs running around in the zone, I can see how it would be a challenge to work with it.

I tend to agree with the above poster. Instanced would be awesome. I have a pretty sturdy system and I usually run 10-12 toons boxed on it. Very rarely have any trouble. But come the Holiday events and I basically have to bow out. This one is no different. I run only a full group for this, for a short period after getting all buffed up and change into my appropriate costumes, then my system crashes and all my toons die and I get to rinse and repeat. Very frustrating as I would really like to enjoy this event and the goodies that come with it. But at this rate, I am not going to be able to evolve my charms or augments.. I will be lucky to finish any more quests. Ya, I know... whine whine whine.. just saying tho..

I am pretty sure that nothing on my system has changed. But the crashing doesn't appear to happen just in the event zones. (it is worse there, tho) It started the day the events went live and I think it has something to do with my graphics card overheating. It -could- be coincidence, but I would bet it isn't.

A shame though, I sure would have liked to finish up those quests.
Cheers
