This is just an fyi for those on the fence about working their blacksmithing and tailoring to a sufficient level in order to complete the 4 chaotic potion portion of the solo aura quest.
I hate tradeskills, they are almost enough to make me quit and delete my accounts. Some people like them, some people tolerate them, but they aren't my cup of tea. But in the case of the solo auras, I bit the bullet and completed the quest on one of my toons and I probably am going to do it on another one.
I competed the quest with a 193 blacksmithing and 187 tailoring. The 4 chaotic potions show to have a trivial level of 300 in blacksmithing and a 300 in tailoring. For me that 300 number is unobtainable, I just dont have it in me. So what I did instead was get 3/3 in both blacksmithing mastery and tailoring mastery and just keep gathering the materials for the potions and clicking combine until I got lucky and it worked.
I initially made a lot of people rich by buying all the air-infused spring water I could find, but this is a huge waste of time and money. It's not worth 20k plat to get 3 or 4 skillups. I mainly hunted in icewell and gathered all the armor pieces and potion pieces and trying to successfully combine them until it worked. I did run up and down the pyramid in cazic a half dozen time for tailoring too, but that is relatively fast and painless.
So if any of this rambling is worth anything, dont let those 300 tradeskill numbers stop you from trying the "brute force" method, you'll eventually succeed like I did.
