Bard Epic click Kinsong

I had a question that may be solved with the answer "its just you" or "user error" but when im twisting songs and am in the middle of casting a song, if I click my epic 1.5 Kinsong it WILL NOT hold. Now if i finish a song and click kinsong then start another song after everything is usually fine.

But being a bard and twisting songs all day the timing is just 2nd nature to me and sometimes i forget in the heat of battle to 1. stop singing anything 2. click epic 3. start singing again, im usually just going from 1 song to the next

It just sucks losing that click with it on a 5 min cooldown. Is it supposed to not take hold while singing songs? or is it supposed to be clickable at any time and the buff take hold

EQEMU issue. Bards can not click items while singing songs.
Stop the twist before trying to click. Sucks I know.

Two things that are noteworthy (imo):

1) If one song is constantly playing (the song gems are greyed out, no casting bar is present), then you may use any instant click effects successfully - or at least I can with the UF client.

2) Recast times are tracked in two places. Firstly, your client, which is why you can see that some items are greyed out and not ready to use. Secondly, the server. The server timer is the master timer - the client timer is merely a convenience to help you keep track of timers on your side of things, and to that end the client timer can be wrong! If an item is clicked, but fails to cast (like you are experiencing with your bard), then the server will know that it's still ready, but the client will not.

Remember, the server is always right. Even though your client says you wasted that Epic clicky until the timer resets, just try again. The server knows it's really truly ready to use. This applies to disciplines too.
