New 6 man group

I've started up yet another group, but this one is going to be pure a solo for fun only, I dont intend to add them to my bot army. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone with some of the classes, and I'm just not sure on the 6th member.

1 Paladin. I've *always* rolled warrior and this one is just weird. I'm giving it a try.
2 Cleric
3 Bard
4 Rogue
5 Enchanter
?????

I just cant decide on the 6th spot. I'm bored of mages, necros. Never had much success with wizards (run oom and aggro magnets). I tried a beastmaster but wasnt impressed.

I don't think you can beat another rogue in that spot (32k assassinates just dominate all other classes) but I'd like to fill it with a different class.

Is a monk a suitable rogue replacement? Or am I missing another class that could fill a dps role?

My core 6 I run are..

1. Warrior
2. Cleric
3. Bard
4. Rogue
5. Berserker
6. Wizzy or Enchanter

I have the group build where I can swap out spot number 6 with any other toon or anyone that wants to tag along. Works out great. Some will argue that my core 5 are all melee but it gets the job done for me.

I believe Monks probably have an edge but should be fairly similar. Rogues in most cases are going to do more damage than either of those 2 classes.

I went with rogue again

I tried monk but couldnt properly get the Flying Kick to operate correctly. Any more details would have to be discussed in a 3rd party forum.

I'd suggest you re-think a beastlord rather then another rogue Yes you'll get more DPS with another rogue but it sounds like you're looking for something different and I think you'll become more impressed with the beastlord as you develop the AAs and get the T8 spells. Will also provide a few more buffs for the group and emergency heals too.
