MQ2melee pet disengage on enrage

Post#1 » Sat May 09, 2015 5:55 pm

Hi,

For some reason both my necro pet and mage pet keep attacking when mob is enraged. Even with /melee enrage=on setting. Below a copy of my necro ini file. Any idea why they dont disengage on enrage?

Code: Select all

[MQ2NetBots]
Grab=1
Stat=1
Send=1
[MQ2Melee]
downflag0=1
enrage=1
facing=1
feigndeath=30
harmtouch=1
infuriate=1
petassist=1
petmend=20
petrange=75
plugin=1
resume=20
slam=1
stickrange=75
downshit0=/if (${Me.Pet.PctHPs}<60) /multiline ; /bct Vivienne //casting "Faithful Light Rk. I" -targetid|${Me.Pet.ID} ; /bct Beyondsham //casting "Spiritual Touch Rk. I" -targetid|${Me.Pet.ID}
version=4.951

I don't think that setting affects the pets. Just if you were meleeing on the character. Simple solution is (assuming you have a player character tanking and not the pets) is to turn the mobs away from pets. If the pet is tanking, have your pet owner do a /pet guard then /pet hold. it will stand still and let the mob beat on it and other pets can hit it from behind until enrage ends.

*edit* I checked the documentation for the plugin, and it is supposed to handle pets for enrage. Hmm. There was a post from a couple years ago about it not detecting /pet hold properly for some, but not seeing anything else since.

Thanks, yes it is suppose to stop pet attack also. Maybe someone with pets on the server has got it working?

Yeah guess I never noticed since I automatically turn and give pets the back of mobs.

My pets always back off on enrage, same with melee characters. Will check if I have some other settings in my mq2 when I get off work

Using any macros on those toons? Macros not designed to directly use mq2melee scripts can often cause some serious issues. I just glanced at my old ini and it's very similar to yours (though I'm using a newer version of mq2). I also know there are a lot of issues in the mq2melee source with pet code. I think most of the large boxers abandon the plugin entirely in favor of their own macros/plugins written specifically for their toons.
