A change to raid exp

After making a second group to progress i learned raid exp is quite slow which its always been. There a way we could alter raid exp to match group exp? I dont mind time sinks but took me 2 months just to farm 1k aa on the warrior at 10-15 hours day group exp. Which is most def the norm but would be quite nice if we could gain the same xp rate to play all our toons and get exp vrs 1 group at time starting over from scratch in lower tier zones etc. Id rather just enjoy grinding out all my toons at once vrs having to grind my main group go buy aa potions to get the most needed aa on the toons.

I second this request.
Even though most of my toons are almost maxxed out in their AA's, I think this would be a good change if possible.

This is a great idea. My horde is nearly always in raid and, of course, it takes ages and ages to get one AA.

I suggest scaling of experience rather than the group vs. raid :D

In this view, a raid with 6 characters in it gets exactly the same experience as a group. 7 characters, a 7th less and so on. Once the metric is set up, proportional reduction in experience points, then pretty easy. If that is too difficult then maybe by groups.

Raid with one group = group experience
Raid with two groups= half group experience
Raid with three groups=1/3 group experience etc.

I have at times done the above informally by forming 2 or three groups not in raid and fighting with them. The group with the high dps group then usually gets all the experience. One can shift characters around between the three groups so that most of the time the group with higher dps gets the experience.

There is no reason I can think of why raid experience should be at the current abysmal levels that seem to target the level of experience that might be had if one put together an 8 group raid. A change in raid experience for a server that has most characters grouped in raids makes sense.

Anyway, many thanks to Devs for implementing the very important change in Shaman pets....it was sooo needed and it turned out so well.

I could very much live with a scaling exp change. It isnt too over powering or quick to impact game play with things to do vrs my idea of just making both the same.

I would love this. We're not raiding just yet with our new guild but we will eventually. It'd be really nice to not have to always grind out xp in a group (we still would as there's loads of fun group content but we'll be doing it because it's fun).

We don't have much time to play these days so being able to make good progress with aas while raiding would be amazing.

Another vote for this.

I posted something similar a long while ago after i found patch notes said they had doubled raid exp which in theory, took it to half of the group exp rate. This meant 2 groups would even out because though it's half a rate, you're getting on twice as many people. Anything above 2 groups was pure profit.

Unfortunately testing proved this to be false by a long way and it just wasn't worth it.

I'd love for my raid of only 2 groups to get closer to group exp, even scaled down as Rafe mentioned.

Okay party peeps... some incoming changes.

It works very similar to group XP, but in a reverse fashion. For knowledge sakes, the old raid xp bonus was 1% no matter how many you had in the raid.

Inside a raid:
1-6 characters = 1.8% XP Bonus
7-12 characters = 1.6% XP Bonus
13 - 24 characters = 1.4% XP Bonus
25 - 36 characters = 1.2% XP Bonus
37+ characters = 1% XP Bonus

So what this means, the less people you have in a raid, the more bonus you will get per kill. So it still rewards doing things with a relatively smaller crowd, but also gives a small perk compared to before.

This is only the first iteration, and these values can be changed after we get a few reports in.
Oh the fun you all are going to have in DSK3...
