Playing THF with the P1999 install

I started playing on THF with my EQ Titanium that I had put in to play on the P99 Live servers. But that took up to much of my game time when all was said and done. I ended up being second in command of a mild raiding guild that was in a multi Guild alliance that I also helped run. With that Said I started goofing off on THF to get away and enjoy some playtime without pressures. But Now I would like to switch over to THF on a more permanent basis. So with that I would like to be able to use all the spells and abilities that I currently cannot. I would like to know if there is a way that I can upgrade to the full THF package and still keep all my hard work I have put into soloing up quite a few char's to 70. Any and all information that you good people could supply me with would be greatly appreciated, I will list the names of my char's that I play almost nightly, and if you like you can feel free to contact me in game. My Main is my Ranger Bowand, I also have my BST Meetthepet Sham Macum, Necro Dirtydeedz, Druid Eieiomac, These are my level 70 chars I play most of the time. I will check back here as often as I can, but the best way to reach me would be in game.

You may go to the getting started tab at top of this page. Once there,there should be a few icons for downloads of everquest one of which well a few are UF iirc download ufclient extract the thf patcher into that folder follow insructions on the getting started page. You should be gtg if install works correctly and follow directions. Your characters AA you have gotten and exp and gear are all saved to the servers hard drive. Only thing you lose with uf client upgrade is current hot keys which can be copied easy enough.

You could download one of the THF packs into a different directory, i think that would work at least.
Have your THF directory patched for THF leaving your P99 directory completely separate.

Pretty sure i've seen this posted before but i dont remember if it was about P99, i think it was about having a Live install, but either way it's the same idea.

If you want to keep your abilities and UI layout and stuff there are .ini files you can copy across.
I know of:
Hotbuttons: CharName_HiddenForest.ini
UI Layout: UI_CharName_HiddenForest.ini

I know of these two because i copy them and rename them when i create new characters, saves me loads of time in setting it all up again and i havent missed anything noticeable.

Everything else is stored server-side as Dusta said so you don't have to worry about that.

Also, when i upgraded from Titanium to UF i seemed to gain a few levels of AA, such as another +5 to my defensives, so i would definitely recommend just downloading a THF UF pack. I didn't look back when i did.

Yup, the only practical way to keep both servers playable is to run each from its own directory. As dusta said, you can get the UF client here (I'd recommend that personally), save it into a different folder and run the THF patcher for that folder and, if you need to, copy over your ini and ui files, renaming them for your THF characters.
