UF works for me.

It might be nicer to have a client that does a few more things with modern CPUs but, judging from the last code change, it is a very complicated and tedious process when there is so much custom coding like in THF.

Personally I go for stability so I'd like to see the continuing tweaking of classes to continue (like with Rangers) so that current coding coincides better with previous features.

That's my two bits worth...

I never played Live past OoW so i have to ask really, what benefits does the ROF client bring?

I know there's an ability to item click from within bags, which i'm definitely looking forward to.. or would if it were going to happen.. but what else is there?

I'm wondering if, with the allowance of MQ2, we can come up with some work arounds with some clever commands.

I'm wondering if there's someway of maybe like, with the above feature...
Left click item in bag (to pick it up)
Left click item in worn inventory (to swap the picked up item with the wearing item)
Right click item now worn (to activate effect)
Left click again worn item again (to swap item back)
Left click slot in bag (to put clickable back in)

Whether we have 1 line "click bag8 item10" or 5 lines as above, it'd still be 1 hotbutton.

But as i said i don't know what features ROF2 brings, or what features people are looking forward to the most, so i have no idea if there are clever command workarounds to bring those bits into the game. If it were possible we could have all the cool stuff without the pressure on the devs to bring us the client and without the players having to keep asking for it.

But saying that, upgrading from Titanium client to Underfoot client gave me +5 AA levels on my defensives, so maybe there are other bits that can't be hotkey'd?

The most important thing is not to look at what the eq client brings, but what you gain in server/client stability.
This in order to share the common experience and help eqemu.

So, work on the content on which the eqemu community puts the most energy.

A technical point of view, this server has repeatedly reached its limits. For a simple example the size limit very quickly reached of the open raid instance or guild raid instance.

I understand new releases generally bring better performance and stability, but as a community outside of the Dev team this is beyond our reach as far as getting the new client working (except maybe yours Moguay, you coding genius).

What is in our reach are in game features. If we can work on getting these working in other ways, it might lessen the pressure on the devs? Was just a thought :)
