Imho :D I think what we need is parses of pretty equally attired dps so that we can see where a ranger stacks up among dps. So what I think would be particularly useful for dps class balancing is seeing where rangers are among Berzerkers, Rogues, Wizards, Mages, BL, Necros etc.

trouble is getting equally matched dps...particularly since so few have deemed it worthwhile to complete fit out a ranger these days....

How about updating the test server now so it is the same in ranger damage so folks can kit out and a ranger to be the same as other classes and test dps?

Pretty equally matched Rogue and Ranger...donor pants, BP, both, donor weapons, ranger donor bow. Both in same group with same buffs auras etc. Rogue does have two donor augs, ranger has none.

Rogue got 468K
Ranger got 257k

Getting close with augs in bow (someday) ranger would probably be over 300k.

Guys and gals, it is very very important to remember to parse in the Arena. Guild hall parses are grossly overstated because buffs do not fade there. That being said, keep up the great work!!!! :)

Not many of my buffs fade in less than 5 mins, unless they are disspelled .

Guild Hall Parsers were added to give us a common index.

Yes they are overstatements of what we really attain in game but they do give us an index of maximum possible....and we do need a common standard to enable us to, for example, evaluate which class gets the highest dps.

To be sure there are some mobs that will simply kill a rogue because they are too close and not ranged. In such a case the rogue's dps would be zero after death and this would make the ranger a winner.....

I would think a good baseline of archery dps without every donor clicky known to man would be a better measurement of where rangers are at versus other dps classes.
