EQ Next Reveal

Who else watched the reveal? I was blown away. They seemed to integrate a lot of great ideas into one game that really puts you into Norrath. Seemed a little GW2ish, but with a million more features. The way the world is layered, destructability, mob placement, just a lot of good stuff! What was your favorite part? I assume *everyone* will be playing :P

I plan to check it out yes but it will always be hard for me to break away from the original. Been at work reading most of it but unable to see the videos at work and from what i read the concept is dead on for the WORD NEXT. Also like that the fans get a real chance of creating the world as well with the part that comes out this winter and those ideas cna be used to shape norath going forward.

Looks like a new WoW clone to me but my old iMac couldn't handle it anyway. :/

Unfortunately due to the nature of wow and it actually having a very good customizability as far as Ui goes and functionality as far as an mmorpg goes, any game that is released after it is going to be very similar hence being a clone. Devs won't change something that works in wow just because it's to similar to wow :(

watched a few EQN videos - big LOL here
And they called WoW cartoonish???
Have you seen the character faces? Is it just me or were they lifted directly from Disney cartoons like Aladdin and Cinderella? And Vah Shir looks like Lion King with WoW armor on.

No matter what the gfx looks like I will give it a shoot.

if we were playing game for the graphics, I highly doubt we would still be playing eq1 with classic models !

It will suck. Everyone knows it. We all love Classic EQ (maybe slightly customized as on THF) but Felwithe is Felwithe on Classic. The old feeling will never be the same.

We all know it. Stop fooling yourselves. ;)

I won't play it, that's sure :) Invested too much of myself in our classic/customed THF to just give up, and I don't have time to play on both games. I just love too much to die during crazy scripts coming straight from the sick brains of our developpers
Only old EQ ever managed to give back the old good feeling of the best MMO. Doesn't have anything to do with graphics or so. It's something that can't be seen or touched. I'm a classic addict for MMO it seems lol.
