Not sure if this is related tothe "lag issues" mentioned above, as that states during spell initiation, but since the update today we've experienced some general chop and delay to characters movement, some lag (not zone specific) and overall performance has dropped. It's just about playable but it reduces the enjoyment.
It's affecting both of us in the same way so it's not our end. It feels like server packet loss and as though the server is struggling in general.
Other symptoms include:
- When running, every few seconds there's a minute pause that feels like a jerk. If you use a horse, it prevents you from gaining any momentum/speed and this lets you see it clearly as it happens.
- When looting, you character repeats the stand up/crouch animation over and over
- NPCs (including pets) chop and warp when moving
- Nearest NPC target can take a few hits before it registers a target
- PCs jerk about a bit when standing still, as if their animation is skipping and their Z axis isn't correctly registering with the server
- Lag occurs in fights (mob doesn't die for a few seconds on 0 health) with regularity when we never normally experience lag
This happens in any zone. We currently have 20 in zone (raided).
