T8 polar bear king (spoilers perhaps)

Seems much harder to me than the t8 version of Junal was for halloween ;p ..

But maybe I'm just doing it wrong. Someone in OOC mentioned something about needing to click on trees in the room when he glares left or right, but I've tried clicking the gumdrop trees, the christmas tree in the igloo, and even the lightpoles spread around the room, but never have gotten any sort of emote / message saying any of it is doing anything, and doesn't really seem to change any part of the fight.. I do, however, get the message, "you can't reach that, get closer" when trying to click these things from a distance.. so.. there seems to be something to it, just not sure what.

Regardless, I'm able to get him to the point where he goes invulnerable and cries out about the curse after killing the two bear guard adds, then I begin casting RGC, and get the message that I feel the curse lifting, but the invulnerable mega beast zombies start spawning and destroying my team rather quickly, wild rampaging, etc, and agro seems very flimsy with them, they ran across my whole crew to the casters in the back and walloped them good and quick, so doesn't seem to be typical undead agro. And although I was able to spam RGC for a minute or so, and got off quite a lot of them, I died to the zombies before lifting the curse completely.

I'd like to keep trying until I win, but it stings spending 4 ornaments per spawning of him and not really knowing where to go from here :/

My GUESS is that they may be snarable / stunnable / fearable? and you just have to kite / avoid damage / harmshield tank / etc. until you get enough RGC's in, but that's gonna be tough to solo box ;p Am I getting warmer?

Is the Polar Bear King a bellycaster?

He is a belly caster yeah.
You need to click on the gummy trees, depending on the emotes (he looks right or left). If you get the guards up it's because you missed the tree's click.
As for when he gets invulnerable, that's part of the script. You need to keep RGC him while kitting adds around.
Just make circles and use fevarn shield (or better burger shield). You will need a bunch of RGC to kill him. Maybe the fact that you screwed up the trees will make require a even higher number of RGC.

What Sian said. Also, iirc, when he looks left/right it's to HIS left/right, not yours when facing him !

Ahh, but what if I turn him around to face the wall?.. Is it STILL his current left / right heading?.. or is it what it would have been if I didn't spin him? :p ...

I guess this is a relatively crucial part to do because he gets stronger as the fight goes on and starts hitting way harder if you take too long, and killing the guards takes quite a while. I found I had to have defensive clickys up for my SK to tank him towards the end before i got him invuln.

well you can try to tank adds but you will be dead very fast since they are invulnerable and that a bunch of them will spawn
