What class if you want to solo?

I've been gone for quite some time now, and I was wondering, with the changes, donor weapons/items, etc. if you were going to pick only 1 class to play, what would you pick?

Are the Necro/Mage pets enough to make them viable solo characters ?

Can monks with donor weapons and lifetap augs properly solo with no problems ?

Can berserkers just do so much dmg that they wreck everything that isn't a raid mob?

**As some of you might know, I'm looking to come back and I'm considering just playing a solo character, instead of boxing my army of toons. The changes to necro/mage, plus the idea of donor weapon/bp combo, really intrigue me.

The idea of running 14 toons again wrecks my head. Especially since I need to rewrite all the macros and such again.

With the necro donor bp/wep/aug you can easily solo everything through t3 into t4 with the pet alone. I prefer the necro pet to mage pet due to the lifetap it does.

That combo will give you more bang for your buck than any other for a solo toon imo

+1. Necro is probably the best to solo because of lifetaps. Mage is also pretty good solo class. Donor Beast Lord can be pretty good as well though not as many people playing those.

Necro has always been the best solo class. I could imagine with donor gear they would be unstoppable.
