logging in characters

It has been very difficult to login since the new code was installed. Sometimes it takes over an hour...

I am on the THF server and use the UF client.

I have tried both directly logging in through the THF downloader and through Innerspace. Innerspace gives me this
crash report:

Crash: 0x06B57204: Exception 0xc0000005 reading from address 0x06EB000C in module EQGraphicsDX9.DLL

these crashes occur across 3 computers.

Thanks for the attention.

I go to server select, select Hidden Forest server, click play, and often, but not always blue loading bar goes about an eighth of the way then .... crash.

Played with it for hours this morning.... any suggestions?

Hey Rafe,

Do you experience this issue for all or only selected accounts of yours?

Well seemed to have resolved the problem. It occurred at the same time as the code update but it was NOT directly due to the code apparently or, only partly due to it. All my machines are on SSDs and I'd not disabled prefetch. This was not a problem previously but with newly loaded AMD drivers and the code it kept messing up logins. Disabling prefetch did it.... weird, took a long time to find that link. But kept working on tweaking every machine and then...it worked. Possibly something to do with timing etc.

Thank you for your interest.
