How does EXP work?

Hi Guys,

Through my forum searches on looking for experience stuff i found some patch notes that say:
Group exp mod: 1.2
Raid exp mod: 0.6

As i understand it, this means that, for example:
Mob gives 100 exp
Group (6) gets: 1.2 x 100 each = 120 x 6 = 720 total
Raid (12) gets: 0.6 x 100 each = 60 x 12 = 720 total

So from 12 people upwards, if you're grinding AA, you might as well take a a raid because every thing after that 12th person is pure profit in exp terms (13th person takes total to 780, 14th to 840 etc). You're levelling at half the speed but with double the characters to make it up.

I know on Live there were exp bonuses for full groups to get people to fill their gaps, and i know this isn't Live so it might not be the same here, but on testing i found that in a full group, a level 68 would get 0.7-0.9% exp whereas with just a mage that same person would get 1.9-2.2% exp. It might be just that the higher levels sponge more of the exp which also vaguely rings a bell.

So really i was wondering how exp compared to number of people actually works.

With the double exp multiplier for Halloween, if my example is right, then i'll take all 12 chars and grind until my eyes bleed (which i would bet money happens before they all finish their WOS pets :) ).

If not, then i'll have to take each group individually.

*edit* Sorry, i've just seen i put it in the daily chat forum and not general help, my bad :(

Cheers.
