Last week we announced that new content was in the works for THF with a little teaser and an introduction to the new storyline. We'd like to give you another update and some detail of what you can expect.
Development is going really well and we're hopeful of a release in the next couple of weeks. We'll keep you posted about our progress.
As mentioned last week, this storyline will span across several tiers and the first release will be just the beginning of the story. It will be a story-driven group instance of T7 difficulty. Though it's not restricted to players who are flagged for T7 (anyone of level 70 can create an instance), it's recommended for that level due to its difficulty. We intend for this to pose a real challenge for you!
There will be:
- More than 50 new items for you to loot (30+ of which are gear),
- 14 new npcs to kill (most are types completely new to THF)
- And a couple surprises for you to discover
- Some of the items are useful at any tier, so something for everyone to hunt for.
The reason we chose T7 to start with is because it's the lightest in terms of content of the final few tiers (T6 has tons of content, T8 has two raid zones and two group instances and T9 has an open group zone and two raid zones). We wanted to build on the excellent content already in T7 (DSK and raid aura quest) and this new content will give you hours of fun but also lots of loot. The loot has been carefully crafted to fill most of the "gear gaps" that aren't provided by DSK. So you'll benefit from playing both in DSK and the new zone.
We're keen to provide more great content for players at the very top-end of the THF progression curve and want you to know that we're going to work hard to give that to you as this story continues.
