Creating a Training Dummy on an EQ server.

I've setup my own Eq server to play sandbox style locally on a pc. I found an Easy install on EQ Emulator https://github.com/EQEmu/Server#-windows

I'm trying to create a training combat dummy like we have here on THF. i know we have several coders that play and i've haven't found anything on EQemu.

My main question is where i start. Once i get to the right spot on the database I think i can do alot. I've never added anything custom just edited server rule and minor things.

For non coding npc you may make a npc or copy a current one assign what ever models etc. Easiest way non coding is simply adjust the hp to quite a bit and cast JT_buff spell ID 3716 on the npc. It is a 9 million hp buff 9 million hp regen per tick.

Coding wise you would need to create a npc script to be buffed and to auto regen and refill its hp upon reaching 1% or some number.

So i can use a gm command to spawn the npc then find it in the DB and add something to rebuff itself? I tried to spawn a npc that way or even edit one but doesn't seem anything changing.

Well it is why i said use jt_buff it will buff 9m hp 9m regen so as long as summon a mob with good amount hp will be ok. As far as changing npc you need to link your self to Eoc or a github and live update your changes. Eoc will need hotfixes and reboots possibly for some. Why i suggest a high hp mob already with jt_buff attached easiest method.
