Make sure you patch to the latest version with the THF Patcher!

We're very happy to let you know that the new content release is now live! Below is a list of features you can expect to see, and update notes relating to an overhaul of the Citadel of the Worldslayer group instance. Also some other changes not relating to this update.
The new content is part of the Foresight of Farseer story that begins with Ghillie Farseer in THV. Before you can fully enjoy the T9 content, you'll need to complete the T7 quest from Ghillie (Citadel of the Worldslayer) and you'll need to be up to date with one other "Life time" quest as well.
A brief note on spoilers. The Farseer storyline has been developed slightly differently to much of the existing content on THF and is told as a story, so many elements aren't initially revealed; you need to work it out as you play. With this in mind, please be considerate to those who may want to discover the story themselves when discussing content in ooc, on the forums or discord. We appreciate that you'll need to discuss things at some point so please follow these simple rules if you can:
- If you have a specific issue or bug to report please use the petition subforum.
- If you'd like to ask others for help or discuss elements of the new content, provide public feedback etc, then please use the forums and add "spoilers" to the subject heading or just before you start talking about potential spoilers.
- You can use the new Discord channel named: "New-Content-Spoilers" to freely chat about the new content with anyone who doesn't mind seeing spoilers.
We want our fantastic Wiki editors to update/correct/add content there, of course. But if anything is related to the story or puzzles and so on, please do use the SPOILER tag to give people the option to not spoil it. Thanks for your understanding.
Update notes
- A new Tier 9 open zone, 100% customised content that contains no less than...
- 100 new npc types, many with variations (over 170 unique npc types in total)
- Dozens of named npcs, both friendly and otherwise
- Over 20 quests and tasks
- Multiple event-based challenges for you to puzzle out and defeat, many with a single group
- 3-4 raid encounters
- Over 100 new items
- Over 60 new spells
- New AI development for certain npcs, friendly and otherwise. Npcs may not behave in a way you're used to.
- Continuation of the ongoing Farseer storyline
- Introducing the new visual effects feature. Now, it's not just emotes you should look out for when engaging events and boss fights. Look out for visual indicators that may hint what's coming and what you need to do!
- Added a new chapter to the Foresight of Farseer story to Azakir the storyteller (accessible once T9 group instance is complete)
- Added new story "The Fabled Dranik, Creator of the Dragorn"
This zone is aimed at T9 difficulty but is not restricted to guilds that have achieved T9 in the main progression path. A well-geared T9 group can take on almost all of the content on offer. A strong T8 group/small T8 raid can take on quite a bit of the zone, perhaps needing help with some of the tougher encounters. A normal T9 raid should be able to defeat the whole zone.
The difficulty has been tuned to non-donor gear.
We're not announcing where this new zone is. Finding it is part of the story and the main story quest, which is the access quest to the new T9 group instance (which we're also not telling you where!) This new instance will bring:
- A series of challenging events never before seen on eqemu (let alone THF)
- 10+ new npc types
- 20+ new items and spells
- An end-zone quest reward that's got the best stats on the server in slot (excluding donor items)
Citadel of the Worldslayer
- Replaced quest globals with data buckets (new, improved, more reliable and faster)
- Replaced stage handling quest globals with entity variables (more reliable)
- Adjusted noc attack delay to slow down hit rate
- Slightly reduced noc damage
- Reduced ukun damage
- Increased Ixt damage
- Increased the mana of all spell casting npcs. You should see more spells being cast on you (be wary)
- Increased the resist adjust value for some spells to allow them to land on players better (they were getting resisted too much)
- Rewrote the Livi encounter entirely. It works mostly the same way but it should run much more smoothly now.
- Repositioned Ghillie at the start of the Livi encounter to be closer to Livi (mainly so you can see Livi's entrance more clearly)
- Rewrote the fail script for Livi encounter so it resets reliably (fails after 8 minutes or on death/escape)
- Added in checks to prevent engaging Livi without triggering her event
- rooted Livi again (somehow this changed when rof2 went live)
- prevented players leaving Livi's room during the event. If anyone tries to run, the event fails
- Updated Zuru event to spawn an additional add
- Zuru now casts his two spells regularly through the fight
- Zuru is now tethered to his throne room
- Fixed the spell icon for his DoT
- Ghillie no longer sends players to Bixt's room. This was causing some fringe issues with instancing.
- When hailing Ghillie after killing Zuru, she opens a portal to Bixt's room that remains open indefinitely, she then depops.
- To use the portal, just run up to it.
- Added flashy new portal effect

- Bixt's fight totally Revamped
- This fight was entirely too easy for an end zone battle with a god boss.
- Bixt now employs a new, powerful attack that players will need to work out how to negate.
- Adjusted Bixt's loot table so all items except for one drop off the same table with an equal chance for all items
- Removed the trash augments from Bixt's loot entirely (leaving only the chest and legs augments and Bixt's Final Word on the loot table)
- Bixt now drops two items selected from this single table 100% of the time
- Changed Kraxt, Uzur, Livi and Zuru loot tables to drop one item from their main loot list 100% of the time.
- These mini bosses now always drop three items (foresight, potion and augment/gear)
- Rewrote the charm 8 quest entirely. It's now possible to complete one charm 8 quest for a single character with a single run of The Citadel. How this can be done has changed significantly, however.
General Content Changes
- Removed the blocks from accessing the caves in THV
- We'll be revamping hub content in the future. These blockers are no longer required now that Winx retired as epic 1.5 giver.
- Changed the Shadowknight T8 pet model to something a bit more in theme
- The solo and raid auras can now be changed to another type without needing to redo the entire quest. You still need to buy the memory blur stones to reset your selection. Once handed to the quest givers, hail them again to choose another aura.
- Changed raid aura qglobals to data buckets (faster, more reliable).
- Converted all existing qglobals into data buckets for players who are doing the quest or have compelted the quest
- Added new pet spells (detail below)
New pet spells
We've added some new pets to the shaman, druid and enchanter classes. This is to enhance the fun of playing these classes but also to give their pets a more unique use. We've extended the shaman pet to tier 9 (the excellent Wunshi's Protector pet becomes far too weak at later stages of the game).
Note: enchanters will need their AA to control their pets properly, otherwise they only engage when the Master is attacked.
All of these pets do decent DPS that's appropriate for the tier and they should have decent survivability. The rough order of pet strength by class goes:
Beastlord
Mage
Necromancer
Shaman
Quest/looted pets
Druid
Enchanter
Other
It's for this reason we've given the druid and enchanter two new pets that have unique effects, like the shaman's (AoE player % heal).
- Wunshi's Guardian. Shaman pet, upgrade to Wunshi's Protector. Casts a 3% (+1% compared) aoe heal to all players in range every 10 seconds. Available in tier 9 content.
- Savage Companion I. Druid pet, upgrade to Wild Companion IX. Casts an aoe heal (2%) every 10 seconds on all pets in range. Also casts an additional 1% heal on a single pet target that has the lowest hit points if it has less than 70% hit points. Available in tier 6.
- Savage Companion II. Upgrades Savage Companion I. Aoe heal for pets is slightly better (3% and 2%). Available in new T9 content
- Adrianne's Animation. Enchanter pet. Upgrades Salik's Animation (level 66). Available with all other level 70 base spells (ie Kael).
- Farseer's Animation. Upgrades Adrianne's Animation. This pet will regenerate the mana of all players in range by 0.5% every 10 seconds. When attacking a target with mana, it'll steal 0.5% of the target's mana every 10 seconds and give 0.75% mana to all players in range (0.75% of their max mana). Available in T6.
- Dranik's Animation. Upgrades Farseer's Animation. Aoe mana regen is 1%. Mana drain is 1%. Drained mana gifted to players in aoe is 1.5%. Available in new T9 content.
Additional bug fixes in this update:
- Alchemy combines will now work for non shaman classes
- All buffs will now stay in the hub zones, all debuffs will wear off.
