Miraguls Nightmare

First thing first new stuff is always refreshing, was it though intended that XP is disabled in the zone ?

While i dont mind to get ported around by the goo i always worry though that i might end up with too many mobs and hit the mob agro cap and get possibly ported out of the zone.

Yesterday as i tried the zone the first time i actually liked it that there was no respawn, today with the respawn i had actually problems as i tried figuring Gloombone out and got adds during one of the attempt.

Now to Goombone itself well i assume its intended that the Pools in general cant be taunted , on my last attempt i managed to kill all the pools and had Gloom pretty low on health i believe in the 30% range when he popped another wave of pools and they wiped my team out pretty fast.

While i dont mind it a bit more challenging and wouldn't mind to spend more time in the instance i believe a instance that possibly is only available for a week it might be for the difficulty on some events a bit to much (T 6 in my case and just run with 1 group).

It is a little rough that taunts don't seem to work on goos (BP, legs, shield clicky, AA area taunt as warrior...). Though Gloombone in particular seems more difficult than the tier it is in. Which might be fine if the adds could be controlled properly with taunts (t9 raid in my case).

Trash respawn rate is also quite high, i'm assuming since it is an open zone.

Not to mention the crashes while in the zone :cry:

Thanks for the feedback! I set the the pools on gloombone to raid only as that is probably a bit too much for group (assuming that was t6 group version?), although do bear in mind that a lot of the trash and adds can be crowd controlled as well, so make use of all your spells at your disposal. As it's scaling for 9 tiers it's a bit of guess work to balance it out.

I can increase the trash spawn to 30mins maybe, what seems fair? As for the shadowstep, I did actually already turn that off yesterday as I guess it's just a bit too annoying :)

Are they not giving xp then? can't say I noticed I wasn't looking out for it but will check next time I'm on. Should definitely be giving xp so might be an issue with the scaling stuff. I'm keeping an eye on crash logs, there's a lot of new code in there so unfortunately always creases to iron out :)

Update: The crashes might be related to shaman totem spells, I've made a change in the database which might fix it though...

No XP in the whole instance as far as i can tell.
Yes for me its was the T6 version and now that you mentioned it ya they didn't ported around today anymore.
For me the porting around wasnt that bad , i just worried that i would end up with to many mobs and than kicked out of the instance.
About the respawn rate honestly if the Instance would stay longer or permanent up the respawn rate could be left alone imho, since ppl would have more time than to figure everything out. Ya 30 minutes on trash should be fine that is if ppl want to stay longer in the instance to farm the trash mobs.

Ok I set the time to 30mins then. respawn times are respected even if the zone shuts down (which is does do after an hour). Even if the server is rebooted the respawns are all remembered.

One of my chars keep crashing during some of the Nameds events that spawn shade type mobs. Happened the first time yesterday and i shrug it off than today it happened again. It seems that the Shades appear to have no name for my rogue and the moment i attack it causes the crash. Not sure why it happen to this character all EQ clients run from the same install and have the same settings so not sure if the problem is on my end or if its a problem related to the Rogue class. If i have the chance i will try to do the fight again with my 2nd Rogue to see if she crashes too.

Hmmm... my Rogue was crashing in Miragul's zone the other day too. Eventually it stopped /shrugged. I think i closed all clients and loaded up again and it stopped.

It happened yesterday while i was in the instance during 2 events on all chars but the rogue the adds spawned with a name.For the Rogue they appeared without name, once the adds without name where gone everything was working normal.

For what it is worth, I have run 18 in the zone without any issues. I only have two installed clients, one with stripped graphics including stick figures, and one I use for the tank.
