Is there any way to make the 1.5 useable when we de-level? If we go through the trouble of getting it i dont see why we cant use it when we de-level :p

Let's develop why you need this? What's your goal when deleveling? Grinding aa's in newbee zones instead of 70+ zones? Leveling alts in 1 day?

To enlarge the debate on delevel as new players are complaining about people deleveling and cleaning newbee zone in 1 pull....

Delevel is evil, it trivializes content & is a pain for new characters leveling.
I would have loved too see item level req for zones which would:
Need to equip appropriate gear when using delevel
Keep the designed difficulty level of custom zones.
Ensure people go through the zones before they skip it and come back with higher zones / Tier gear.

Just to raise a debate which makes sense, not a flame against you Seipher.

Wether the epic can be used at level 1 or only 65+, its not gonna stop people farming the lower zones, I just want to be able to use my epic when i de-level to 51.

I dislike the entire Delevel possibilty and we are trying to figure out what to do with it.I can tell you though that gear requirements will remain as they are.
Item Change -> Reload needed
Spell Change -> Reload AND new Spellfile needed

Why was delevel introduced to begin with? If it's not a necessary feature for advancing on the server, then it should probably be removed. Perhaps a poll, with a required reason stated as to why you voted the way you did, or your vote doesn't count.

We were thinking of a poll, but that often leads to drama with this kind of topics. We don't want to make anyone unhappy, so most probably will set him up to flag the deleveled player and as long as the player has that flag, he wont be able to enter pre 70 custom zones. Thats the best idea so far, but as always, we are open for further discussion.

IMHO the purpose of a de-level is to do something at that lower level you can't do at your high level. In that in mind, any items that have a higher level req, than the level you de-level too, won't be useable, since you could never otherwise have those items at that level. Pretty straight forward to me.

PS. I am against a de-leveling system as a whole, specially since its a "fake" de-level system. By fake I mean that it potentially causes many issues related to XP and so on, unlike a de-level system such as in EQ2.

Like what? I've never used a delevel system before, so I have no clue as to why it's needed. So far, the only explanation I've seen, is so that high levels can exploit it in order to farm AA's in lower level zones, which in turn keeps the "yungins" from being able to progress. I don't think the system was intended for that purpose.

Its really a question of a huge explosion in player population without the general common sense and courtesy that we used to have.

When I Delevel I don't go to the crowded regular zones, I pick a zone that is off the common path.

Its not a question of the delevel system being good or bad, its a question of people not using common sense.

I'll give people a hint since I haven't leveled a character in a long time.

With Delevel from 1:

1 to 25 Unrest
25 to 40 Scarlet Desert
40 to 55 Maidens Eye then Umbral Plains
55 to 70 Plane of Valor

Valor is generally crowded as heck, but until a equal spot of monster level / monster hitpoints is released, that's where everyone will end up.

Crypt of Nadox used to be really really good 55 to 68, but it was closed for alternate progression. I really wish Chaos would budge and re release the regular Nadox. (Take Gunthak, Dulak, or Hate's Fury instead)

Also you don't get your white weapon damage when deleveled without a donator weapon that is by design. But all of your weapon procs will still work properly.

If you just want to swap out weapons to get your white damage back:

1 to 50
1.0 Epic

50 to 70
Hammer of Slowing + Whatever else Req 50+

Delevel 51 AA Spots:
Velketor
Sanctus Seru
Greig's End
Karnor's Castle (If Empty)
The Grey (Enduring Breath)

My only issue with this is the Headhunter quest. Some people might want to get AAexp while they're working on the Lower Guk and Karnors part, everything but the named are green at 70.

Well this has gone way off topic but since it seems its staying, if they want to do the Head Hunter quest, they can do that instead of worrying about AA. You cant have everything and if your 70 you should not agro mobs thereby making getting to and killing the headhunter mobs quicker so you can move on and let the lowbies have at it.
