PoAir - Tier 5 - Avatars

The event is fine, nothing wrong with it. There are 2 simple rules to follow. If you would fail to succeed any of them, you lost the event.

- You have 2 hours time limit for each sub event to finish (if you fail, can try again with full repop 2 hours later)
- Avatars has 2 days repop time

If any of the Avatars wont spawn, it's because one of the above circumstances.

HINT: The smoke event trigger is to clear ALL the A Confused Air Elementals.. then all An Elemental Champion.

Just to clarify on this: 2 Hour Time limit begins when first mob on a specific island is killed and ends when that island Avatar is triggered to spawn?

For instance: If someone kills 1 single mob on the island which starts the 2 hour timer. Then for whatever reason comes back and kills the rest 2 hours and 5 minutes later, no Avatar would spawn?

- Avatars has 2 days repop time

2 day repop timer begins when Avatars are either A) Killed? B) Depop due to a wipe?

I'm convinced one of three things is happening:

A) An island mob is killed and then the rest are finished off outside of the 2 Hour window.
- We don't kill on the islands period unless we are doing the event, very unlikely.

B) The event was attempted inside of the 48 hour timer
- This one is doubtful, I know it was at least 70+ hours.

C) One of the island events is counting a mob or two outside of the island.
- This one makes sense to me, it has only happened on Smoke not the others.

ok, let me try again in more depth:
- the event (2 hours timeframe) starts when the last A_Confused_Air_Elemental is dead (no other npc need to be killed)
- An_Elemental_Masterpiece spawns when the last (5th) An_Elemental_Champion is dead.
- #Avatar_of_Smoke spawns when An_Elemental_Masterpiece is dead
- the 2 day timer start when the Avatar is dead to players. (depop wont interfer with the timer, thus you can repeat the event in 2 hours and spawn it again)

I found the problem.

- PoAir is instanced. thus there are as many version of it as many guilds enter the zone.
- The tracking of event timers and Avatar respawns are stored in qglobals, and so they are global for the whole server and not for a specific instance.

This means if guild A complets the event, guild B (regardless having a full spawn and all) wont be able to complete the event till the time limit expires that guild A triggered.

So atm, PoAir is contested like a non instanced zone :p

We just tried to spawn smoke at 6:00 PM CST and the event wouldnt initiate. Is it not possible to just give us the 3 smoke pieces were missing or atleast spawn him when were all on to do him?

Note: Smoke was triggered and killed either late morning or earlier afternoon on 3/2/10 by Magoo and Bresh's crew and not attempted since then for the record incase something is broken.

Rerfu pmed me that the event worked fine. like I said nohing rong with it, besides being competed by guild
