Chardok loot

After much thought on how to go about obtaining a new bow, doing ldons ( I dislike ldons personally) I realized that after the chaotic bow of fail your stuck with it until you do ldons or kill some ssra kael bosses which is a big leap from what it took to obtain the fail bow. Some searching led me to chardok which i thought would be easy enough many bosses there and the database shows a 70% drop rate on augs and items i figured id farm out some augs and maybe get a bow. Fat chance hehe. After hours and hours of killing bosses which all share a common loot table I realized that many of the bosses dropped nothing at all at a 70% drop rate? Then if they did drop something it was almost always an aug. The res wand on 5% drop rate, orbs on 2%, drop rate ive seen more of those than anything else there except the skeleton rib aug of corse lol. I got lucky got the bracer of persistance, the fruit mask(which summons water not fruit lmao), bobbing corpse earring etc, but no bow. This is after killing tons and tons of named.

I would simply like to make a request that the drop rate be truely evaluated since 70% ends up with alot of corpses with no loot, and maybe that you could split the loot so that it has a chance of dropping an aug and an item? Or splitting it up so different mobs drop different loot like other zones. Having so many items on one mobs loot table makes it extremely difficult to get the item your looking for even though there are tons of named still fat chance of getting what your after. There are also many lvl 70 named mobs that hit hard and have 100khp and no loot table at all such as the councilmen. Dunno if that was intended or not but thought I would mention it.

Hopefully something youll consider

The nothing drop wasn't always there. It used to be something called "antiloot" which ended up just causing more frustration than the fact that the named drop nothing. I've always felt that the antiloot/nothing option happened way too much also.

This is by no means a dev response as you'll please note that I am no longer actively helping on the server until my personal life acquires some semblance of free time.

I couldn't agree more. Rather than have everything drop off everything, it seems like it should work like other zones. Pick and item and an aug for 2 or 3 related mobs and split it up that way. Otherwise, you end up with a lot of wasted time and rotting loot. When I first checked out the loot table in Chardok I intended to do a lot of AA there to get the loot. It didn't take long to lose interest in that.

I've done a couple clears down to royals and a run down into the kennel area killing all the mobs along the way and any named I can easily get to along the way, and I would have to agree with the abysmal drop rate of the items. Just about every char I had got a few augs, but I believe I got 2 actual pieces of armor. And the drop rate didn't feel anywhere near 70%, but I've learned that the drop rates listed in the DB really don't mean much and in my experience tend to be much lower if it's not 100%.

I would much prefer the loot being more specific to the named, rather than random off of them all.
