OK I have seen you guys are planning on limiting the bots created on and account to a specific character.
As it is now, only the character who gives the bot items is allowed to take them back, and in addition to this, any item with a req lvl on it makes the bot unable to fight lower level content.
The problem I have with limiting bots in this way is that we cannot upgrade the bots we have because the armour drops are all chaotic quests and you only get the same type as the owner.
This means, effectively, my shaman is limited to chain classes which doesn't give me many options for tanking. I have the pick of rogue, beserker and ranger. None of which excell at tanking even with shm buffs. Better than just dogdog, sure. But why be so limiting?
I would like to use a monk now and then and possibly a warrior. Can't happen unless I am still allowed to use my bstlord to trade in rusty and hand it to my monk. Is this an exploit? Sure, if you intention is to have bots be completely useless and never tank.
Now I can see all the tanks out there using clerics or shm bots being ok. You only need the buffs and heals.
If you do link the bots to a specific character can you at least allow us to request specific returns from the quest giver? That way my shm can still give my monk bot leather pieces and my paladin or warrior some plate instead of having to level up toons to far mrusty with so my bots stay current.
