Ifir, Dagger of Fire

First of all, I like the idea of rogues using daggers on both hands cuz it looks cooler IMHO. (I know the higher end folks like to use Xeg's 1hb on offhand). However, the best non-epic dagger that is available ingame (unless I'm mistaken) is not quite on par with the other weapon drop from the same boss (Fennin):

The Sharpblade has a very special proc (huge agro) and a better ratio. However the dagger has a generic proc and somewhat inferior ratio. If the dagger had a kiss of life proc and maybe throw a +5 fire dmg or something, it would be a bit more desirable for those rogues who like dual daggers (even prefering it over the xeg 1hb for offhand, given the looks)

Just a thought Not expecting this to be changed, but hey I'll give it a try anyway LOL. More weapon choices for rogues FTW!

-edit- the ratio is no big deal (I dont mind if it stays as it is), but it'd really be cool if it had a nicer proc to make this dagger a bit more desirable.

I could change the weapon type to blunt and up the damage. You are probably aware but piercing weapons almost always have a worse ratio than blunt/slash weapons because rogues can backstab with them.

I love daggers... so like I said above (-edit-) the ratio is fine lol. No go on a nicer proc though (ie. kiss of life)? hehe

Going to upset a lot of people if you make this a blunt as it's currently the best bot piercer ( arguably ) in the game, and one that a lot of higher end people are using for their rogue bots, please do not change it to 1hb.

Back to the topic, I personally feel that the dagger is fine, and the best offhand option until you beat the tier above it

^ Like you said, it's a favorite bot weapon (which means it is less desirable for players). Almost all PoAir rogues that have beaten Xegony use the 1hb for offhand. Although we regularly farm xeg, I feel that even if the 1hb drops, my rogue will probably pass (except if it rots) the 1hb cuz I like to use dual daggers. It's a style-thing... that's why I thought the Fennin dagger could use a nicer proc (repeat, the ratio is fine as it is). It's common knowledge that raiding melee players favor lifetap procs.

^ That's another solution too A Xegony rogue-only dagger would be nice, including a 1hs (war/ranger/bard) for more variety... all with lifetap procs like the 1hb. Please use nice graphics, they have to look good LOL

Funny, i thought it was pretty obvious that i was joking when i said i will change this to blunt.

No change is needed at all. We have plenty of weapons. Rog usable pierces will always have a slight worse ratio than their non-pierce counterparts.

I completely agree with Harney as the dagger is not an "end game" item. Besides, if you can kill Fennin you should have or are currently working 2.0. The 1hb will eventually be replaced in t7 (hopefully).
