First, enormous kudos for the work on THF. My wife and I played EQ1 from 1999 through 2006 and absolutely love THF so far. Really enjoyed clearing Unrest and playing in Crushbone and LGuk . We're definitely going to become regulars and really appreciate your work.
We're still complete noobs after only a couple days in but the cleric bot has been giving me some trouble. We usually only use it for rezzes (adventure with a shaman bot) and whenever we spawn the cleric and invite it, the bot insists on doing all its buffs, then chain casting heal-over-time (even when we are full health) and refuses to rez. It seems we have to spam the #bot resurrectme and somehow sneak a message in between casts in order to get it to listen. It can take 15 minutes or more to finally get the bot to cast the rez. Just to be clear, the both responds in /say to every command issued that it is trying to resurrect the corpse, but doesn't cast. We're high-40s right now so I don't know if this resolves itself at higher level.
So, I have two questions:
1. Generally, is there a command I can issue the bot to get it to go dormant and stop casting / acting on its own so that the resurrect command will go through? It seems the problem is the bot has too much a mind of its own and it just won't do as told. At least, that is my best guess based on skimming the boards on bot development over at eqemu.
2. Specifically, if you get a cleric bot its 1.0 epic, will it use the clicky on the epic to rez instead of the spell? (Hence getting the 96% rez at low levels.) Also, does this seem to help with the failed resurrectme command any?
Thanks much to all and again, enormous gratitude and congratulations on THF. We are really looking forward to seeing KC, OS, PoP, and hopefully raiding the custom zones (we raided through DoDH in EQ1 and can't wait to see what is in store on THF).
