Ancient silk gloves recast time

Was 10 min recast intended?
I thought (untill i got them) that it was an upgrade of the free mana clickies we can use between 2 casts.
Maybe 5k dmg is too much that way...but we may find a balance with recast lowered to 3 sec?
The focus is not used by most casters class who can use the item also.

The Ancient silk gloves clicky is a 5k Lifetap. Crits affect it so you can pretty much get a free complete heal every 10min. 3sec would be OP =P

Wizard dps is perfectly fine where it is, I don't think you need a 2.5k upgrade on your clickie in between nukes.

Thanks Raydar for the lifetap component info i was not aware of.
OP for sure if we keep 5k and apply 3sec recast, but when i see melee with 2 weapons each with 3 lifetap/kiss of life proc'ing at insane frequency: arent they OP? At least casters can have the same now, just need to adapt/balance ( iknow, melee have rampage, aoe, etc that casters akso meet). Clickies with 10 min recast are not usefull (imho)

@harney, it depends where you think the wiz dps should be. Past poair(time we did class balance), it is far from top 3 and you know it. I wont developpe more, my countless posts with parses are still up todate, wiz did not get spell upgrades. Melee got nice new weap with more aug slots in the meantime. At the same level of gear, rogues/monks, berserk are stil far ahead.

Conclusion: an upgrade of the free nikue between 2 casts makes sense.
Ps: wizards still meet stacking issue & broken aa's.
Edit: wiz dps got improved from true fire to ancient fire!
So past poair, what a bump into dps world

Look into upgrading to Dark Fire focus and Rk 4 Malestrom of Power from Dreadspire to improve your dps.

i am unsure if that is affected by spell damage focus effects but if so it is probably as much damage as sk's leech touch aa with a shorter cooldown and it is ranged while sk has to be in melee range. i'd say there is nothing to complain about there. i love my leech touch.
