New Aggro Limiter

Well, I had my first run in with the new 25 limit to aggro today and i wasn't even mass pulling like it was supposed to be for. This was during the AMY (Arch Magus Yozanni) event. I was in the middle of the event and lost my offtank due to a misheal on my part, so i just grabbed all the mobs with the MT and decided to plow through it and finish off Yozanni first before the adds since he was hitting the hardest. Had him down to about 18% when all of a sudden the MT was punted out of zone, took me a minute to realize what had happened because the tank was still full HP, no way he was one shot that quick.

This isn't a request to change the limit by any means, just wanted to give a heads up to anyone else who might be trying Yozanni soon and letting them know that this will end up happening. I know its not supposed to be an easy fight by any means, however when you have the ability to just tank the boss down while tanking the adds at the same time, you shouldn't be punished for it.

Thanks, yeah he was my main concern, shortly i will be changing him to go immune while his adds are up, same with froggernought its really not intentional to beat the name to nothing then deal with a ton of adds afterwards.

This could happen on vulak too, if hes holding and procing the invisible rogue pets

sorry to /derail the topic, but in reference to the new aggro limit, would it be possible to get a warning when we get close to the 25 limit? like say at 20 letting us know we can only aggro 5 more? Being a monk i tend to run through places and FD where i need to be(always check to see where people are before i do this so i don't train anyway, and typcially try to only do it in empty zones), and at times i lose track of how many mobs i have on me, and with mobs going through walls and aggroing others as they try to chase me, it screws up my counts.

Rofl I did that the other day and 3 times i ended up running and all of a sudden was in the forest lol took me 3 times to realize why. Must have been SLOW in the head that day hehe

But , I don't see the point of adding the aggro limiter to every zone.

Why would you do that in raid zone ? if we want to AE mobs etc in instanced zone , then it's our business, we aren't making anyone else lag/die. sometime we crash , well ,thats the game.

I totaly understand that thing in open zone , sometimes , bad things happen , I even trainned a group once by running around with half the zone on me :(

But why in zone like vp ? poair etc ?

Really I don't understand.

Well, when a zone crashes, it lags the whole server, and effects everyone on, not just those in that zone.

Personally, I am not too happy about this particular change, but I understand the need.
My main complaint with it is not having any warning - I know it's not intended to be a punishment or anything, but no warning makes it feel like one anyway. It was mentioned above, a warning at say 20 mobs let's you know what's going on; another option might be an aggro counter, though I'm going to guess that would be a UI thing.

Goodbye mass zone pulls :cry:
No more can I pull every frog in the PoS caves :(

It's been explained many many many many times already. It's for stability. Any zone that can be crashed by 1 single player mass pulling it might result in lag/zone crash/overal server instability.

This agro limit script eliminated these issues, and they do a pretty awesome job so far.

You can still pull close to 25 npcs per round.. I really fail to see why is that so horrible :/ Please get over it already.

p.s. warning might get implemented soon, thats a good point.
