Dmg Parsing others Spell dmg

I have been trying to get GamPars working on my system and it seems to be doing great except it doesn't capture spell dmg from the other players around me. I have gone into my filters and selected show PC spells but that doesn't seem to help. Has anyone played around with GamPars and been able to get accurate parses for a whole group or raid?

for some reason nothing you do on a eqemu will allow you to see other peoples non-melee 8\

other than spell crits that is.

so the only real way to get a true parse is to have it running for individual toons/people.

Hmm i'll play with it, swear that I've been able to parse all that before.
The only thing I was never able to get GamParse to pick up on emu correctly is necro dps from dots. (obv from other toons but even from the necro's logs either.)

Hmmmm...I guess they just don't want necros to know their dps.
I went ahead an posted on the eqemu forum to see if they have looked into the issue at all.

The guys over on EZ server were having a problem with this once upon a time. (Most damage post 70 there are from weapon procs.) IIRC there was a fix in Gampars that picked up MOST of the spell damages, though I don't recall what it was. I may pop over there and post about it.

Edit: Nope, Bront is correct. You must run a log on each individual character as it is an emu issue that it doesn't log other's spell damage (aside from crits). The fix I was thinking of was some one who ran their logs into a spreadhseet compile before putting it in Gamepars to get the real numbers. That bit of math is beyond me, so i'll just stick to getting Gamepars running on my compy again. :(

Thanks for checking. I will just have to run the log on for each character to get a good idea of dps instead of seeing what everyone's dps is while raiding on one char.

Well, it's not like I *didn't* know it was a problem. My roomate (a wizard) runs Gampars to keep track of her dps as well as raid mob info. We quickly confirmed that spell damage wasn't showing up correctly on her box and vice versa for her main when she first installed it. I assumed it was a reporting issue we could finger out with some input tweaking. We never really got around to it though as she would just notify me where I was on the list among the melee dps and I was fine with it. There are too many factors for me to be super concerned about stuff we have on farm. Like, for instance, not dying to add pops, which happens frequently as it seems no matter where I am they b-line it for me. It's gotten to the point where i'm debating on changing my rogue's last name to Addeater. I have the sneaking suspicion that this will only get worse as we break into DSK.

But I digress. I know that Rog and Mnk get self buff dd procs with their epic 2.0, likewise Bstlords get a dd proc + buff for their pets. I can confirm for a fact, as a statue humper on the PD fight in VP, that going full burn with raid buffs up that a large chunk of damage is from the pet procs for my beastlord. (I am just far enough away to see only pet proc damages and spell crits, so I will see a pet round proc weapons + epic buff for each hand + other buff proc for each hand PER ROUND at times, to the tune of something like ~3k damage combined.) That none of this is logged in Gampars, or I may not be close enough to fully log, is frustrating.
