[FIXED] Ranger Flaming Arrows AA

Hi, my 70 ranger Derow is using the 3rd rank of the flaming arrows AA. He also has a webtools/items.php?id=16311
which I think should increase the damage of the flaming arrows because I assume that flaming arrows are a fire based dot. Before I got the aug the skill was doing 330 per tick, and now it is still doing 330 per tick. Was hoping that someone could clarify if the effect on the aug was supposed to affect the skill.

I am using the SoD client. Thank you for looking at this.

I'm not positive but I think this:

12 : Effect type : Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed

might have something to do with it.

can this topic be about how underpowered those AA skills are?

frost is useless (nothing worth slowing can be slowed) and the flame arrows are only a marginal increase (and takes up a proc buff slot)

I can't guarantee without looking but I'm pretty sure the AA takes up a range proc slot, not the normal buff proc slot.

I'll look though and verify tomorrow.
Oh the fun you all are going to have in DSK3...

I was unaware that those were separate

either way, the spell is generally underpowered

Update on this:

Verified that the Arrow Proc AAs for rangers do use the ranged proc slots. So they will NOT take up slots from other buffs.

I also verified that flaming arrow does receive benefits from fire focuses. The reason why that fire focus (discordant fire) does not work is because if you look here: webtools/spell.php?id=4811 the duration on the spell is 18s, where discordant fire requires a minimum 30s for the modifier to work.

Additionally, I fixed an issue with the % chance for them to proc on a hit. Before the code was set to a standard 25% chance to proc always. Now they will use the modifier set in the spell file.

Changes to Flaming Arrow and Frost Arrow:

Flaming Arrow:
    Rank 1: Nuke and Dot damage increased to 100 (25% Proc Chance)
    Rank 2: Nuke and Dot damage increased to 225 (30% Proc Chance)
    Rand 3: Nuke and Dot damage increased to 450 (40% Proc Chance)

Frost Arrow:
    Rank 1: Nuke damage increased to 90, Maximum level for stun increased to 70 (25% Proc Chance)
    Rank 2: Nuke damage increased to 180, Maximum level for stun increased to 73 (30% Proc Chance)
    Rank 3: Nuke damage increased to 360, Maximum level for stun increased to 75 (40% Proc Chance)

Made some changes to the chance to proc % for these AAs. Remember that both rk 2 and 3 are receiving upgrades as they use to used a base 25% chance before.

Changes from before are noted in yellow.
