Guild Friends

I know this is a weird question but has to do with guilds so figure I would ask here and see if it is even possible.
Can a set of guilds be befriended with other guilds and do the same instance zone as one?

Reason I am asking is because I created my guild in mind with it being my family members and I sort of realize that I would likely be limited with what I could do. So in this effort I want to know if it is possible for two different guilds to combine forces but still be seperate as a guild but do the same mission/instance.

I am sort of figuring that it can not be done but heck never hurts to ask.

Each guild tag has their own instances and are not "combinable". <Guild A> cannot get onto <Guild B> instances or viceversa.

More complex raiding was accomplished on live using the raid expedition dynamic zone, expedition lockout and shared task mechanics.

I wonder if those are available constructs within EQEmu?

Worst case scenario, I know personally that Night Terrors would be willing to extend a temporary tag to anyone that wanted to raid with them, and they could be re-tagged by their guild at the end of the raid. It would be a little tedious, but I think its workable.

It's also a bannable offense to guild swap like that for raiding purposes.

So i'd suggest not doing that :D

# Guild hopping: For the purpose of farming instances, guild hopping is prohibited.

If you are not farming but just trying to progress would this be bannable offense? I aint the brightest light

I've always been under the impression if you hop into a new guild for an instance, then after the completion of that instance you unguild and return to your guild, then it's actionable offense since it allows you another instance that you shouldn't have access to.

Now, I am by no means an expert on the rules so I would hold off on offering/doing this till one the shiny purple namers come in here and give the Final Say.

But that's just me :)

Micah already answered the question.
But to extend it, if there would be any exception to this rule, there would be no way we could monitor who's doing it as an exception or who's exploiting it. This is why there are no exceptions to this rule.

I apparently missed this when reading the server rules. Thank you for pointing this out before we made this mistake.
