Fine, I'll be the one to say it.

I hope the 3rd party program rules amendment gets retracted. Since the allowance of 3rd party programs, I've seen a lot of server side lag and less player social interaction. The server lost a lot of it's uniqueness when this rule was changed. Players that join THF and make friends on the server are more likely to stay longer than those that join and create 6 macro'd mages. Players that don't fully macro a group are at a disadvantage for contested mobs. When players don't have time invested into the server, they're less likely to follow the rules of conduct because they have nothing to lose. Those that stick around and donate to the server have made an investment and are more likely to follow the rules.

I'm not looking for a debate. I'm only expressing my opinion on the rules amendment. I understand that I've made some assumptions and that's what makes it my opinion. Also, the occational lag spikes are confirmed by many across the US that I chat with on mumble. It's not client or localized network lag. YMMV with difference in play times.

Sincerely,
Warbeat

Macroquest doesn't cause server-side lag.

I understand your concerns Warbeat, but imo MQ has nothing to do to a player being "social type" or not. If someone enjoys playing in a group or joining a guild, he will do it, regardless if he can box several toons.

Also, let me assure you that while we let players use /stick and basic macros, we do not allow complex (game breaking/abusing) MQ usage. It's clearly explained in our server rules.

Lastly, I once again encourage everyone not to spoil the game with too much 3rd party program usage. There's a lot of custom content to enjoy from level 1 up to our highest raid tiers. :)

And I'll be the one to close the topic. It was all discussed, posted, explained already, several times.
