When I donated for this , I assumed that it removed all debuffs. But today in vt, I discovered that this was not so...

Is this as per design?

If your silenced you can't click any item to use the effect. The donor item is not listed as an anti silence item so not sure why you would think it would prevent you from being silenced or why you would be able to use a click effect while silenced. Always been this way, I'm sure its working as intended.

Yeah what Beat said, this effect is part of the VT game mechanics we didn't want players to avoid (in any way), it's a silence.. evil creation of GM Vaion.

Beat: I never said I thought it should "prevent" silence. I asked about removal. The prevention effect it does have is listed in its description at the donator webpage.

The Spell entry for Sorrow Song lists it as a "detrimental" spell...and since the Gift's clicky lists six slots of Remove Detrimental Effects, and the item description says its equal to "a GM cleansing...and since EQ is a computer game and so anything can be made to do anything, its not a farfetched thought to think that perhaps it can remove Silence. But as I write this, Lillu clarified in an answering post so ok.
