The Hidden Forest

Having played on Live since launch I'd like think I'm no stranger to unlucky streaks in drop rates. I seriously hesitated posting this until I'd had at least 5 days in Fear farming but I'll go ahead and do so, flames notwithstanding. Having said that, Id really like to ask the GM staff reexamine the drop rates in regards to the T8 quest pieces in PoFear. While drop rates were the same in Air, ST and Fire, the zone is about 5x more annoying. After 5 days of farming (and I spoke with a couple others still farming there after a week with the same results) I've yet to get one drop. I can't think that's the intended result. If it is, I have to ask why. Completing DS T1 is a significant accomplishment, and with the required tradeskills and the challenge of the Reaper event, I can't see the big concern with having HoH flooded anytime soon. For some reason the other 3 zones were much more tolerable for farming - but PoFear simply isn't. Im simply asking that you talk about it and consider making a small tweak. I know you guys work hard and we greatly appreciate it.

Yea, my fellow guildies have been complaining about the drop rates in fear. They aren't ones to normally complain about something like this but, i know for a fact one lil dwarf has cleared fear atleast 12 times and is still missing his last piece. It took myself 4 full clears and some lucky fellow only took a half a clear.

And imo opinon you shouldnt be in t8 without atleast clearing t1 in ds. The named trash in there took myself 4boxing and bront 4boxing 12min to burn them down. If you can't handle t1 ds your not going to fair well in t8. =P

i still looking for my last piece. i have now 2 bags full of each of the other two. but no sparkling one.

They all drop.. Same drop rate in each zone. Nothing is going to be changed.

Fear has been the bane of a number of our guildies. Honestly keep at it and bring some friends to break the boredom. Hell do a clear of the zone if people still need the arms. Wont feel like farming that much lol

yeah braeks up the monotony of grinding a bit when u haev another goal, gotta clear a ton of trash in that zone anyways to be safe, so might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone hehe.

Yes...I stated as much myself regarding the drop rate...so I was aware of that already.

Perhaps it's difficult to design custom EQ content that is both challenging and enjoyable. I think it's worse than that. Our community is twisted enough to somehow take satisfaction from enduring the tedious.

The tradeskilling/gathering part of the HoH quest are a test of personal determination and fortitutde, personaly I like how they are set up. Had the drops not been made tradable I could see a small part of the argument to change the drop rates, but they are now due to popluar demand. End game content should not be easy nor should it be easy to get to. Thank you Vaion for not dumbing this quest down.
