Stuck trying to log in

I'm not sure what the problem is... I'm using the UF client. I'm thinking it my be the install of the game but I'm not sure were to get a good clean one for this my discs have long been lost. :|


P.S. I don't know about the EZ thing I've been to the site but never did anything with that version.

Did you set your Eqhost.txt properly?

Yes I did. I even double checked it.

check your dbg.txt in you logs folder in the EQ directory. If you can, post the last couple lines or anything that looks out of the normal from there. It may help figure out what exactly is happening with the connection packets.

Thx for the help but it's amounting to more trouble than it's worth. I may try again if the steam client would do it so I know I have a good clean install. Thanks again anyway.

Hello. Im bumping this thread because I have the same issue! I have been playing here for a few weeks now (and earlier a year or two back). I just now switched to the UF client and I have a problem similar to the OP. My client says that I have given the wrong password and/or account name when I try to login - but it is the same login I have used up until today (even earlier today) with the Titanium client. I have changed the eqhost to the right one for UF client.. What do I do? :(

Banai, were the accounts created via EQEmu or THF? If they were made on EQEmu you'll need to do a command on each character to sync to the private login. I'm on my phone, but I believe these details are included in the new player guide.

bumping this.. I got ahold of an UF client to upgrade from titanium. I am able to log into my titanium one but when I try to log in using the UF client it says wrong name/PW.

I changed the eqhost to this:
[LoginServer]
Host=login.thehiddenforest.org:5999

but still no luck.

Do i need to do the ingame sync to the private login for using an UnderFoot client? I don't think I ever did it for my Titanium

If you've never done the in-game sync before then you need to do so regardless to use the THF loginserver (whether Titanium or UF). But you can change your eqhost.txt to

Code: Select all

Host=login.eqemulator.net:5999
and that should let you login via the EQEmu loginserver on UF+.
