When trying to use the UF client from this site I get the following error after having the correct EQ directory selected. I tried deleting the .cfg file and even changed the location to c:\everquest. No luck. My old Titanium client works fine with the same patcher. I will just use the titanium until I can figure out my issue.

Is the patcher itself in the EQ directory or are you just browsing to it?

Yes, but I think the eqgame.exe file must have gotten corrupted during the download. Launching it gives me ...is not a valid win32 application.

OK did the top link first, I just did the second link (mirror1 Chicago) and getting the same results. Weird.
Running windows 7 pro, tried a few compatibility fixes but no luck so far. As I said Titanium client loads fine, was just hoping for some the UF improvements.

I just downloaded the UF zip from here. Copied the launcher exe over what came in the zip (verified no cfg file) and it ran fine and updated the folder.
*edit* just tested opening it from the patcher with play button. Came right up to login and was able to pop onto test server

Ok going to have to say it is an issue just on my Win7 desktop. My windows 8.1 laptop works fine. Thanks for your time.

Last thing I will mention. Never got the downloaded client to run, but dug up the backup of the Steam UF client and everything worked great with that. No idea why the prepackaged one from THF is rejected by my desktop.

I am having this exact same problem. Downloaded the UF client zip file from the site, even deleted the patcher that was in the folder and downloaded it fresh from the site, and it's giving me the unsupported message. Strange, and frustrating.

For Check in hard the UF Version
You can edit and check in EQGAME.EXE the compiled date with notepad if you find :
and
Warning with space : "June<space><space>8<space>2010"
Many program check with this:
