Necro:

An AA that makes all dots either active or cast, act like splurt - increasing in damage every time they tick.

A splurt spell upgrade to bring it in line with the current tier.

AOE lifetap, either spell or AA.

Lifetap over time spell upgrades.


Chanter:

Channeling AA, as it was in EQ2. When triggered, it would equalize the mana of all group members...like the cleric 2.0 does for group members life...but for mana.

Pet classes:

A parallel tier of suspend minion - so a pet class can keep a third pet suspended, with its own recall trigger key, and have a choice whether to call from suspend different pet types. I.E. one dps pet suspended, and a tank pet suspended under a secondary suspend.

A summon companion AA that doesn't take up a spell gem or clicky item spot.

Inate pet run speed AA, as others have said.

A new class of pet that is strictly a nuker and doesn't melee.

Summoned gear that has + focuses on it, made for the nuker pet, or the nuker pet able to use dropped gear.

Bard:

Spell upgrade that brings bards single target resist debuff song to an appropriate level. Currently it generally isn't.


Monk:

Group FD AA - fall of the phoenix it was called in eq2 iirc.



Generally:

Augs that are more suited to individual classes, or at least better suited for roles:

"tankish" - Augs that are much less + weapon damage, and are more + ac/hp, but are meant for weapons only.

+ spell damage

+ weapon damage

+ healing

I'll stick the classes I have played the most so far.

Warrior:

1. A fearless AA identical to Paladin / Shadow Knight
2. Additional mitigation / avoidance / health AA's
3. A cleave / barrage ability to the kick / slam / bash skill line for AoE tanking and DPS

I don't think Warrior's in general are too bad at this point. But I don't see any real reason for making a Warrior over a Paladin or Shadow Knight for raiding. In my opinion, and as it was in live, you only ever saw a Warrior tank raid bosses. That is unless it feared, was trash mobs clearing to a raid boss, or was an overall weak boss / mini boss. So anything that puts the Warrior as a clear choice and back at the front of the line for tanking.

Magician:

1. A group Call of the Hero AA with a short reuse timer
2. An AA that scales the AC of the Magician to the pet better
3. An innate run speed AA for the pet 30%+
4. An AA that increases pet attack range

I think Magicians are one of those classes that are great for starting out as they get really powerful pets. But down the line that pet just doesn't scale on par for DPS as the pet owners AC increases with improved gear. At this point in the game a group CotH makes sense, make it a 10 minute reuse.


Cleric:

1. Upgraded group heal spell, last spell was back at level 69 and is half the healing of current single target heals
2. Faster cast time on heal spells, add an AA that bypasses current spell haste
3. Upgrade to the entire cure line spells

Clerics are not that much different / better than druid healing, and not being a hybrid class that seems wrong.


General:
Augments designed for specific classes for weapons (Anger for tanks, Concussion for melee, etc.)
Augments designed evenly, just make one version. (HoH red vs blue)

For Rogues, a upgrade to "Thiefs Eyes" would be nice.

Good to know, thanks. After getting my tank his pet (took 7 hours) I was adverse to ever stepping foot in the zone again. So not surprised I somehow missed this spell.

/sidetrack on

Just checked, the spell components have a drop chance of 8%. Each piece is dropped by 2 different creatures so while i understand that it can be frustrating to get some parts, it's not too rare really.

Also keep in mind that there is no restriction to enter the zone (beside lev70 i assume).

/sidetrack off -> please continue on the Upgrades you want to see, Abilities, AAs, Spells, Discs.
Item Change -> Reload needed
Spell Change -> Reload AND new Spellfile needed

I'd like to add as a blanket request for any new spells you come up with... pretty please no more short duration buffs!! :D I have so many in a group that they're coming out of my ears as it is, and it's grossing out the guildies. But really, I have a bunch blocked just to fit the current cap.

(unless there was an AA to raise the cap further ;) )

A tank AA that chains your target to you for 60 seconds and makes it impossible to lose agro

I would like to see more defensive procs for tanks, one example is the SK skin line on live, http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=34771

An AA where you can add additional effects to your weapons like slow, tash, rune, heal, or weaker group versions. Make it so only one path can be chosen.

For mages:
1. A spell that lets you teleport to where your pet is instead of summoning it to you. Can be applied to all pet classes.

2. A reverse CoTH that lets you teleport to where a targeted group member or guild member is.

3. Summoned magical pet boots, let the poor pets be able to kick mobs and not see the invulnerable message come up.
