get T8 mage pets x4 (make pheonix pet)

and give bane weapon them

dps is enough with them i belive

Any updates on this by chance?

We just tried the encounter at tier level. We clear VP / Fear with ease, completely effortlessly.

24 Characters
4 Bard
1 Beastlord
4 Cleric
1 Druid
1 Enchanter
1 Mage
2 Monk
2 Necro
1 Ranger
1 Rogue
1 SK
1 Shaman
1 War
2 Wizards

We are not using anything above tier level, no T8 spells. No donors.
Everyone has bane weapons, including the healers, who are using them on CD.
On top of the normal pets that come naturally to each class (mag/nec/dru/shm/enc), we also have 8 wall of slaughter pets using bane weapons as well.

All discs are being used, casters are using crystal of potentials, tov clicks, spells are being weaved in between bane clicks, etc etc.

Considering the only way to damage rallos is banes, which everyone has, and are using, and we have 8 bonus pets of tier level that are also doing damage to him with banes. I am not sure what other means there are to really push this fight on tier. Its not much of a tier 6 fight if tier 8+ gear and spells are a requirement to complete it, at which point you are well beyond most of what comes from the encounter being relevant. Im certain it wouldn't be hard to login our T8+ characters and murder the fight still, but whats the point in that?

We have completed this fight years ago when it was released, but we were obviously of a higher tier at that stage which generally has always been the case with this encounter seemingly getting completed.

I think this is probably a good opportunity to tweak this fight because it's always been one of the toughest fights to complete on the server and probably a bit over the top. It should be completable in T6 only gear and I think that most guilds that did do it were either higher tier/had donator gear/t8 spells etc.

What % of health do you get him down to? And I know you mentioned that that you're using full burn, are you using the Ring buffs as well that you get in t6, Chaotic Ring of Wildness etc.? I asume you are.

It's always difficult to adjust these fights because we don't want to undermine the efforts of previous guilds, but has this fight ever been managed with t6 gear only?

I'll chime in a little bit here because i struggled with this fight running 12 characters myself with donor pets with the zek weps.. all the rods casting and weps for characters..


I was only able to get him to 15% first time, 12% the second time then I made 6 more characters and was able to do it.

We got him to ~35%.
Not everyone has rings yet, but I don't think that is going to make up a 35% difference.
For us, we have never killed him with just T6 gear (even on previous groups, running 24 characters).

Yea around 35%, we do still have some gear improvements that can be made that would lower that number a little bit. That said it doesn't make sense to gear up 100% fully in tier 6 to be able to do him in his current state, even if it were possible which I am not certain of, versus just pushing up to higher tier content which is easier and drops better loot.

He just feels like he is in a weird place where he is not hard to do as a tier6 group, he is not hard to tank/heal through its entirely the DPS which obviously is his primary mechanic and I get that, but his HP and the DPS available to tier 6 characters seems out of balance. This is also with a 24 man group, which I don't believe on average people are running 24 characters into this.

I think the only way in its current state that I would be able to push this encounter at a tier 6 level is to have an entirely cheesed group for it. However its fun to run a balance of various classes and what not to gear up and enjoy, for the variety. There are obviously certain classes that are much higher dps than others that if I stacked those and had no variety it might be feasible. There are no other encounters that I have experienced that I have felt would be necessary to do that for besides rallos, though we haven't done VT+ yet.

It seems like adjusting his HP down if it should remain a tier 6 encounter makes the most sense. Or adjusting his loot and tier up to a higher tier, if higher tier gear requirements are needed in order to complete the encounter.

Have increased the damage of the bane weapons and proc/spell damage for the next server reboot and see how things go then.

Tried today after the bane weapons damage appeared to be increased. Failed first attempt at 1% and were able to kill it on the second attempt. This feels a lot more balanced while still being challenging for the tier.

Ok great, did it look like the spells were doing more damage? if not then I might just leave those alone if it seems balanced as it is now.
