The Hidden Forest

Anyone have a problem where your entire group gets silenced but there is no visable debuff on anyone, and you have to zone, or die to "fix" it?

What zone which boss ? npc?

What are you doing right before it happens? Are you still able to use your UI? ie moving items around etc.

It was in Plane of Air and I did not try to move any of my items in my inventory. I know there are mobs up there that silence, but you have the silence debuff when you are silenced. This was nothing, no debuff, and the duration, well I gave up after 5 minutes, and those that did not die, I relogged my characters in, and was able to cast and click items again. And like I said, if I zoned I was able to click/cast again.

same thing happened to me just few min ago on avatar of dust. couldnt even click an item, even few min after boss dead. No message at all, just doesn't do anything. Had to relog. Not a sync problem as other toons somewhere else in the zone were just fine.

How's your filters tab look in alt+O ? Mine are all Hidden from PC spells down except for stun message, I noticed this helps out a lot with battle dsyncs. Also for some of the annoying things you cant filter out I make a chat window and make it as small as it would be if minimized it and filter the rest you don't want to see there. Just remember to never try to open that small chat window with the spam you don't want to see in it, for you will crash Lastly as you acquire auras be it solo or raid I recommend turning the buff of the aura on and the visuals off, even if you play with all particles turned off so you don't normally see the aura's having that visual buff can still cause some lag/dsyncs. (Cheers to Ggan for that last one for I play with all particles n stuff off anyway but over 1/2 my toons had the visuals on cause I didn't see them and since I turned them off I almost never dsync when I zone or do mobs/events now)

Did the mob still look alive once it was dead (IE standing) and sitting at 0% hp and you couldn't do anything but relog? That is a dsync

Im actually getting a message that I can't cast because I am silenced. No message though when I try and use a click. I am also not suffering from any of the other "symptoms" of a de-sync.

Sounds more like when you actually get hit with a Silence, when the debuff fades in your buff window, the effect however does not leave your toon until you zone. And zone I mean, log off, or die.

@ Beat : mob was perfectly dead, as all mobs around, I could chat, sit, read text, sleep and look at their dead corpse on the floor... just couldnt click an item or a spell with the two toons that were involved in the fight.
So it was not a desync
Relogged, coth worked, looted, left
