The Hidden Forest

Got some weird bug today. Occured while killing in Kael. While trying to loot with one of my characters I got the message : "You may not loot an item while you have an item on your cursor".

This only happened on one of my boxed toons...all the others could loot fine.

I tried logging out etc..but still the same problem. Finally I tried just destroying one random item from inventory..and voilĂ , it fixed the problem. Weird though...because the character had multiple empty backpacks

Normal backpacks can only hold up to large sized items. Most items from Kael are giant so you need a bag that holds giant items. A tinkers bag would work

Happends to me when I have a pickpocketed item on it that i don't see. Login usualy fixes it.
If it's a bag size issue I would suggest deluxe toolbox at the start instead of backapack, sold by tradeskill goblin in vale, and cheap .
Unless you're a gnome it won't be an anoyance to use them as regular bags .

The issue wasn't a giant sized item unfortunately. Also happened multiple times later in other zones. Haven't had any problems after this day though...weird. Will post more info if it happens again

This sounds like a 'blame Tyler' case.
