Immortality vs. Death Touch in Fear

Hello!

I am having an issue with the Eres immortality in PoF where instead of having a possibility of instant revive like I see in normal combat, when I take a death touch from the demis in fear i die immediately after being revived. Is there a mechanic that works differently between death touching and standard melee death? Just want to understand so i can plan off-tanking or something to accomodate.

It has a 90% chance to fire and save you. Could it be that you were just unlucky? Or is this consistently happening to you no matter what?

Well it did save me and then I died right after - knocked unconscious within 1 second. I am not sure of the behavior but the same thing has happened 3 times in a row. the SK has Hp/AC/mitigation to last longer than that so it is confusing. If this is working as intended I am happy to come up with another strategy.

Thanks!

You should have been healed up for 37479 HP as the log says. If you died regardless, without losing that many HP then it's either a glitch or a bug. Were you lagging by chance or anything worth to mention?

No real lag to speak of, typical mid 100ms ping. What it looks like from my side is as if i just die from the DT, i go back to the hub within a second of impact.

I don't want to cause extra work. I am happy to provide any other info I can to help.

Without digging too far into it, and it has been awhile… my guess would be that the DI trigger is occurring prior to the actual DT damage/death trigger taking effect. That is probably why the log is showing the heal message prior to the knocked unconscious message.

Essentially, DI triggers after it detects you should die, heals you prior to the damage being applied, damage from DT is then applied and you end up dead even though DI should have saved you.
