Connectivity issues?

Anyone else having connection issues from the US? It doesn't seem to be anything the THF staff can do something about but thought I would complain about it anyway ;)

Looks like a part in the route called doclernetworks.net (it appears to handle the hop over the ocean?) is the offender. I was able to get some of my chars in but timed out zoning about 75% of the time :(

Hopefully it'll clear up since it's a rainy day outside!

Edit: They finally got their act together, yay!

I have been having a good deal of trouble when first logging in and then also every time I zone. Multiple timeouts, disconnects, etc. Zoning also is taking up to 5 minutes as well.

If I stay logged in and in one zone all is fine. It's whenever I try to zone or when I log in that the trouble starts.

Also connecting from the US (Southeast).

Playing with paid proxy services I was able to get more stable connection but its not worth the money.
Only really good if you have region locked game consoles and want to play from anywhere.

This really seems to be getting worse every day. I can barely zone without hanging or crashing out. It takes 4 or more tries to get logged in, often getting kicked out after getting to character select.

I did not have any of these problems a month ago, now it is making the server unplayable.

ditto, and you know you've got issues if you spend more time logging in than playing and still keep trying :P

My issues are also back, but not nearly as bad as the original day I posted.

What VPN service do you use? Is it good enough to be able to play EQ thorugh them?

Please, let me know as I am interested for other reasons, not EQ related :)

Does DataRate.txt have any impact on use of THF server? I have a poor connection...used to be when I was on live I'd almost go LD and come back sometimes. With THF, once the lag meter starts going down never pops back. Wondering if Pinging the server or something like that would be helpful???? don't know. Input appreciated

If I disconnect, even for 1 second, I lose my EQ connection and it will not reconnect. I thought this could be due to the DNS negative cache, so cleaned this out and disabled it in my Windows 7 64bit system.

Wondering if there is some way of helping the server/client to reconnect? Any suggestions?
