buff procs, aura/song procs, & buff proc slots question

To my knowledge, you can have up to 4 buff procs (such as spirit of the fail) without the buffs that allow addition buff proc slots. (here is where i'm getting this info, pls correct any if wrong - viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1702&start=10 - 2nd post down)

My question is, do the procs from songs like Storm Blade's Storm Blade Strike, or the weapon procs added by aura's like Aura of the Wall's proc Wall Rune or Aura of the Frenzy's proc Frenzy Tap get counted as buff procs and take up the 4 standard buff proc slots available?

Thanks,
Sticky

Yes, all of those would take a buff proc slot.

A quick related question... what happens if you go over? For example, I typically run my SK with Black Shroud, Power of the Shadows, and Aura of the Wall. So that's already 3 proc buffs by default.

So then what happens when my shammy buffs my SK with Spirit of the Lion and clicks his epic Prophet's Gift of the Ruchu? Both of those are proc buffs... does that mean that the last one applied won't stick? Or will one of them just not function? If so, which one?

Thanks Vaion. I have same question as vip00. When we exceed the 4 standard buff slots, is it then random which buff proc will fire? Or do some not fire at all?

Btw to everyone else, this makes those new BST and ENC buffs that increase your buff proc slots pretty nice. Considering your always going to be over the limit in a raid and even most group settings since the song and aura procs are filling up those slots.

SK as example
self buffs - Shroud of Discord, Power of Shadows, Death March
other buffs - Spirit of the Lion
aura - Aura of the Wall, Aura of the Frenzy
song - Storm Blade, shm epic click

So that's 8 buffs off the top of my head using SK in a standard group. Some classes and/or setups may use more.

If you went over the cap, you would use the first 4 only. Then as one wears off the other would take its place.

Any chance procs from auras could be changed so they dont take up buff proc slots?

Don't know if thats a coding nightmare or not how yall want it to be, just wondering.

Thanks,

although to be my own devil's advocate this does make those new buffs to add buff proc slots a lot more appealing and as i think more about it the pally and SK prob run into buff proc slot exceeding more than other classes.

Anyways

I guess this makes aura of the wall much much worse than I thought o.O

A couple hundred HP rune is definitely not worth losing procs like death march if I happen to be at my limit when I cast death march!

Well, you don't have to cast the aura first (in fact you can click off the aura and then use the #auracast command at the end, after you cast your procs). Also you can partner with an enchanter or bst for the extra proc slots spells. We try to get all the classes something important and very useful all the time.
