Just curious what the timeline is looking like to make the pet usable by shamans...

Running UF client... Spell requires level 255 shaman. Seen some folks claim they "hacked it" to get it working at the spell file by "copying the old pet" info but this seemingly does nothing except need you to update the spell file again and make the spell description disappear.

Intrigued by the concept, want to see what it is like functionally, but cannot use it... If no modification is planned on your side, can you share more precisely how to "hack" the spell file to mod for UF client?

Yeah, still getting message: "Your class can never use the spell: Wunshi's Protector"

Have you updated from the patcher in the last 24 hours? I just ran patcher+farmed spell+memmed it+casted just fine less than 10 mins ago

Also are you memming the spell the normal way or through right click w/MQ? Just curious

Ummm clicking and placing into the spell book and yes, I launch with the patcher but if it was updated 10 minutes ago then I will need to do it again

Okay got it...

If you are on Windows 10 and the file doesn't update, exit all instances of EQ and MQ2 completely.

Grab the updated spell txt here:

Then manually replace and it will fix it. The patcher shows "Up to date," but is incorrect.

Hmmm I’ll look into why it is showing up to date when a new spell was sent.
