settings question

Hi guys,

I don’t know if this a mq2 question or a client question but i figured i would put it here just in case.

I made the switch to rof2 this weekend with a fresh instal of the official rof2 client and a new rof2 compile of mq2. I normally run a full group of six, with the old client (uf )and mq compile each game window had its own eq icon on my task bar, which allowed for quick switching between toons. With the rof2 client all six eq icons on my task bar are stacked, meaning i have to click or hover over the eq icon to get the six game instances to pop up, then i can chose which window i want, obviously this slows me down considerably.

I assumed this was a client setting, but i have dug through both the uf and rof2 clients trying to find the difference with no luck.

Anyone know how to change the settings so that every toon gets their own eq icon on my task bar?

Thanks for the help

Curious as to what your fix was for it? :)

Yes we need to know what you did.

I made task bar adjustments to where I can see each window name but I can't move them around or reorder them. Not an ideal scenario for what I want but it works for now.

Personally I use 7+ Taskbar Tweaker: https://rammichael.com/7-taskbar-tweaker which let's you adjust how icons are grouped etc.

I had the same issue. It's not a ROF2 thing, but only happens when using the ROF2 client :?: :?: :?: . But if you right click your taskbar and select Taskbar Settings and scroll down to where it says Combine taskbar buttons, there's a drop down menu and you need to select never. This doesn't fix the issue of not being able to rearrange the positions of the windows though. But it works for me and i just load each toon individually with a batch file so I know the order they are in on the taskbar. Best solution I got, I'm an EMT not a programmer!

I ended up doing what dolien did, and just adjusted the task bar in windows, using the never combine option. i am still having the problem of not being able to move each icon individually and they are also rather large ( they were small icons with uf client, it’s not that big a deal but it’s an extra few inches i have to move the mouse every time i move to another toon which is reaction time wasted.

if anyone finds a way to individually adjust them let me know. not being able to is going to get annoying fast.

my cleric is usually my second tab, but she crashed yesterday right after i logged in, when i brought her back in she was the last tab, it was messing with me all day.
