The Hidden Forest

I currently box, and will consider making some changes to as it's still early, the following:

Warrior (1 donor wep)
SK (1 donor wep- using this character for offtank/pulling)
Cleric
Shaman (1 donor wep)
Mage (1 donor wep & donor BP)

I haven't decided on a 6th character yet. I'm probably nearing my personal limit on donor contributions so I guess what I do in that regard will help determine my best outcome.

For one, I didn't know if I should try to remove the SK and replace it with a bard, and then add another Mage to round the group out. In that situation I would assume it would be better to go after the Mage BP/donor wep again and make the bard donor a lower priority? Or do I keep the SK as an offtank and add the 2nd mage? I never really intended to make the SK part of the group, but I donated for the SK weapon last year and stopped playing. When I returned recently I really wanted to main tank a warrior instead so the SK kind of joined my group just because it was around and had the donator wep already.

I also wasn't sure if most warriors donate for a 2nd weapon, or do they generally offhand their epic 2.0+ and use Ares in their back/range slot and switch it in for hard hitters? I figured if I went for just 1 donate on the warrior it would be Ares over 2nd donator, but maybe someone can tell me I'm wrong on that count.

Also, should I consider the donator aura at all?

I'm a min/max type player with limited playtime so I like to make the most of it. I want to try to advance as high in the tiers I can, whether with my own solo group or with a guild.

Any advice appreciated.

Deffo snag Ares for your tank. Pick whichever you like best and stick with him. You won't really need 2 tanks for most content you can single group I think.

I'd get a bard in there but I would not put any donors on him...the money is better spent elsewhere. Like...on an Ares for your tank. Ares...is awesome!

I don't know about doubling up on mages. I personally would not do it even though it would make boxing 6 much easier. I'd consider adding a rogue if you want mobs to melt (maybe snag a donor or 2 for him..wep and aug).

As to putting a second wep on the war...I think you'd get better bang for your buck from Sune arms.

My opinion:

Add a rogue. Bards are (very) useful but a Rogue will win you a fight. I know you've got money in the game on your SK now, but I would have swapped him for a Bard. Fading Memories > FD (sk, anyway) for pulling and as Safiya said.. most single box content doesn't require a second tank.

If you are just getting one more donor item, I would get Ares for the War, hands down.

Rule#1 on THF.
Every group must own a bard to be efficient.

Bard will make your entire group OP and will save you a lot of time if you get him a COH item.

Just look at the highend boxing group , they all have a bard in their setup.

Or a monk that just likes to lipsync to bard songs and play air instruments.
