The Hidden Forest

Hey all

I was wondering about one of the items from Shadow haven needed for the healer automation.
I've been hunting for a good 4 days there now, and have yet to see ANY silver cog at all.
Everything else i've gotten x5, even numerous times on various items, but no silver cogs.

The reason I ask about this, is because I am wondering if something changed.
I know it's all random drop, but having done the quest before, it was not this rare.

Is it just my incredible stroke of bad luck or has something been altered?

Guess it's bad luck since I have looted it last week on my cleric. Can't tell you if I left some decayed cause my other toons weren't at the right stage of the quest.

Decay isn't it, that I know
Because the drops aren't quest active related.
Funny thing is, like 5 minutes after this post, 1 dropped.
Made me quite happy, but 1 in 4 days is a bit too rare imo...

I always find that if it's been long enough to complain (not that you're complaining) about it, then that's precisely when it will drop.

I just finished another round of essence farming for HoH access quest...talk about brutally slow grinding. The second I start to type to /ooc how much I hate the drop rate, I get the exact essence I need. Funny how that works.

This is an often-employed tactic by me.. I will farm, farm, and then farm some more. I will then undoubtedly become annoyed. The next step is crucial. You then have to make a comment in /ooc, on the forums, or a less effective method is trying guild chat.. about how something must be broken, or how ridiculous the drop rate is, or how your eyes are starting to bleed, etc.. And then if you've done it all correctly, it drops soon thereafter.

It's the tips and tricks of EQ like this that separate pro's from casual ;p
