I'm running Windows 8, using the UF client, and today, after running the patcher, I received the message "unknown spell effect 858 in spell Aura of the Guardian (id 9651)

I assume this has to do with the mage pet changes, but I'm not running one yet. I went looking for the spell file, and found a thread for it, but it is listed for OS's below mine, and when I clicked on the CLICK HERE link I was directed elsewhere.

So, my question is, where is a spell file I can download, or can the patcher be looked at? I clearly didn't get something I needed from using it.

It's because of the new code. We had to shuffle around a few effects to make things work in the new code and 858 is one of those.

It shouldn't affect your overall gameplay since the live code still accounts for the normal effects, it will just give you a random error message.

We just find it easier to maintain one spell file with all the changes then try and differentiate two different versions when it won't affect game play.

I reverted the changes to the spell file regarding the new code support. Please download the new spell file via the THF patcher. The errors should be gone. A feedback to confirm would be much appreciated.

I was definitely getting the message yesterday, but I'm not this morning.

What's weird is I didnt download a new spell file when I logged on this morning, and I still didnt get the 'unknown' message.

Yeah, server side changes were also reverted (this is why you had errors without the latest server file), everything should be back to normal. Thanks for the feedback.
